The Bible advises to try every spirit, which means to try even the Spirit of God (1 John 4:1). The people of God are further instructed that even after two or three prophets shall have spoken, another prophet might still judge what the others have affirmed (1 Corinthians 14:29).  Our last post on “And there was War” has generated a few mixed ‘judgments,’ which we wish to throw back to the general assembly.

I wish I could see what some of the respondents have seen, and speak with them also of peace and safety.  On the other hand, I am further disturbed by what revelations some of the witnesses say that they have also had.

“Good morning, sir. Upon reading the report of your vision this morning, my fear and anxiety skyrocketed to an overwhelming proportion! Two Sundays back, I had the same vision while sitting at the altar of my church. It meant disintegration of some sorts. I alerted the senior pastor and he led a prayer for the country. Oh God, help Nigeria!”

“I read your post and, as much as your prophecy is terrifying, and as much we all expect 2015 with trepidation, I don't think it's going to happen. The good are still greater in number than the bad.”

“Nigeria is the almighty God`s unique project which He is determined to perfectly accomplish, no matter the awesomeness of the odds!  This is for your vital, urgent and indispensable comfort and encouragement!  Remember that the Almighty God has never failed!  He can never fail! [But can men fail God?] And I can confidently assure you that He can never, never, never, never fail concerning Nigeria!  Nigeria is spiritually a very unique nation! She is divinely charged with a very unique and absolutely uncommon mission and mandate! Every attempt to balkanize Nigeria has failed and will always fail in Jesus name! Amen!

Shalom sir,

Thank you once again for always sounding the alarm.  In fact, my friend and I have been lamenting. The problem is not just a Nigerian one. It is a grand plan, and we sense this foreboding, and I feel very wary.  Unfortunately, not many share in this view, at least in Ghana and South Africa.  Sir, what can we do? We are praying as WW but I fear it is inadequate.  May The Lord show us mercy.

Mrs M.T., South Africa.

Calvary greetings!

This confirms the dream I just had last night and shared with my family during the devotion this morning. It was a war atmosphere like the Biafran time, and we were told to take our belonging and leave the environment as there will be massive shelling. I was just confused and could not take anything out till I woke up. This is now beginning to make sense with this. May the Church wield her greatest weapon now and may Heaven have mercy on us!

Highly revelational and a wake-up call for the Church to seek God's mercy.

Thank you, beloved brother. My worry is, why some notable pastors among us in the city say that some of us are building unnecessary fears in the hearts of the flock. Well, these reactions happened before in the Scriptures, so we are not left clueless.  What we have to do relentlessly, among other things, is to awake the Body of Christ to the realities looming over us, turn from our wicked ways, and go back to 'Prayers for the Nation.'  We did so those days in the 70s and 80s when we contended with the foot men; so how can we go to sleep now when we are contending with men on horses? May we, our children and their own children, never live in this land to serve the gods that did not make the heavens and the earth (Jer. 10:11).

Hmmm. I have been following the series about war. May God have mercy on us and help us do the needful thing to save this nation from impending danger.  In His mercy, for the sake of the righteous, God will deliver Nigeria in Jesus name amen.

After days of carrying a spiritual burden that saddened me immensely, which I could not understand, I just woke up from a dream where families and communities were scattered in the forest, looking for a safe place to hide.  The person who was guiding me through the forest showed me camps of cultists and shrines where some of those escaping were abducted.  He warned that to avert this mayhem, the nation should fast three days. My family starts the fast today.

Juliet, Yenagoa.

This last word, from Juliet, has come with instructions on a way out.  I believe that “the person” that she had seen in the vision, who was explaining to her the scenes in the jungle of escape, and telling her how “the nation” as a whole might avert the coming evil, was the angel of God. See Zechariah 1:7-10; 4:5.  Accordingly, I hereby appeal, that every Christian in the nation, every church, every family, every Christian organisation, should fast and pray for three days, from Monday, October 6, to Wednesday October 8, 2014, in the fashion of Nineveh at the warning of Jonah.  It is hoped that churches shall use the rest of this week and especially the next Sunday, to mobilise towards the warning of the angel. “Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?” (Jonah 3:9).  May Deborah never have to regretfully lament in the name of the Lord against some for preferring their comforts and ignoring the mobilisation:

Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty (Judges 5:23).

Prayer points: firstly, confession of sins and repentance from all our wicked ways, and secondly, that God might send us a deliverer in this season. Amen.
